“’Nordic’ relates to something or someone having its roots in Scandinavia. The implicit meanings of someone, or something, being Nordic is, however, much wider, especially when paired up with nouns such as ‘society’, ‘values’ and, why not, ‘architecture’. ”

Kjetil Trædal Thorsen (1958). Architect. Received his M. Arch. in Graz, Austria, in 1985. Since 1987 founder and partner in the Norwegian architecture and design studio Snøhetta. The studio has offices in Oslo, New York, Innsbruck, Stockholm, San Francisco, Adelaide.
