It was a full house with 100 enthusiastic listeners for Marianne Ibler’s lecture in November in a church.
The lecture “Danish Modernism – The Known and the Forgotten Houses” was accompanied by beautiful pictures of the architecture and received many interested questions.
The lecture dealt with the history of, and the purpose of, Danish Modernism. It also lifted the veil on untold stories about forgotten houses and anecdotes in a time that stretched from the 1920s to the 1970s. About the architects Arne Jacobsen, Kay Fisker, Tyge Hvass, Friis & Moltke and many other Danish modernists.
The lecture also took place in the fascinating surroundings of Gl. Holte Church. It was designed and built by the Danish modernist architect Halldor Gunnløgsson in 1977-78, one of the architects of Danish modernism.
The church’s pastor Jannik Theilgaard welcomed the lecture in the beautiful church.”
